The 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP 15) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in Kunming, China will define the new post 2020 agenda for biodiversity and set the course for the next decade. The theme of the landmark 2020 UN Conference is “Ecological Civilization: Building a Shared Future for All Life on Earth".

Collaboration and Way Forward

Presented in this article are the activities and achievements of the Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) Partnership Project in collaboration with the Uttarakhand Biodiversity Board (UBB) in 2019.
Targeting to create awareness and communication strategies for better understanding of access and benefit sharing among different groups, various activities were carried out in the state of Uttarakhand. Updates from the 2019 Green Cluster Conference, New Delhi

GIZ India’s conference on ‘The Future of India’s Forests’ provided a platform for national and international partners, technical experts, practitioners and decision-makers to discuss emerging scenarios facing the forestry sector in India on all three levels: local, national and international.
Zooming in and out between different levels of forest management the sessions covered three thematic areas: Forest and Climate Change, Forest Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, and Forest, Trees and Livelihoods.
